Scott Kisling personally leads and directs all projects, staffing them carefully from a team of consultants and strategic partners. He has been involved in nearly every major GE initiative since 1989 at the introduction of GE WorkOut, a means to streamline business processes. Then, among the first GE Black Belts in 1996, Scott led quality and lead time improvement projects in the maintenance of gas and steam turbine generator products and in the office processes that accompany that work, and was credited with $2.3MM in savings. He then implemented his Six Sigma knowledge as Center Manager of GE Energy’s $12MM Salt Lake City industrial repair facility. During his 2-1/2 years there he restructured the facility to increase sales by 46% to be profitable after many prior years of losses.

In 2001 Scott took the role of Manager of Digitization Projects for GE Energy during which time he and his team implemented a number of IT solutions for data collection and material control. This role led to being assigned as Lean Initiative Leader for GE Energy’s $1B Inspection and Repair Services business and trained under the famed Shingijutsu Company of Japan. Scott has had repeated successes in improving throughput and lead time in both existing and newly acquired businesses using Lean, TOC (Theory of Constraints), Six Sigma and GE WorkOut.

To date Scott has trained over 300 people in Lean in week-long Kaizen sessions and 135 in Six Sigma classroom sessions. He has coached the definition and implementation of 44 Green Belt projects to a successful completion.

Scott earned an MBA from the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
