The term "Continuous Improvement" is popular but difficult for many to comprehend, especially when introduced along with the term Standard Operations in the same training session. A better term may be "Daily Improvement." People understand that improvements can be made every day, and that at the end of the day – or after several days – a new Standard can be defined. More improvements, and more iterations of Standard Work, will be done the next day and beyond.
